Minister of State's Message
As Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), I am pleased to submit the 2013–14 Report on Plans and Priorities. The report outlines the Agency's plans to fulfill its mandate of strengthening southern Ontario's economy through strategic investments that help the region prosper, both here at home and abroad.
FedDev Ontario will continue to fulfill its mandate to build a competitive southern Ontario economy supported by three key priorities in 2013–14:
- Building collaborative relationships between governments, academia and private enterprise, that help to advance the interests of southern Ontario;
- Effective programs that target and support innovation in southern Ontario; and
- Strengthening organizational management across the Agency to ensure excellent service delivery for clients and stakeholders.
The Agency will strive to meet these priorities by leveraging partnerships with key stakeholders to advance emerging opportunities and ideas and mobilize support for those with the greatest potential.
The Honourable Gary Goodyear
Minister of State (Science and Technology)
