Investing in Commercialization Partnerships (ICP)
What is Investing in Commercialization Partnerships (ICP)?
The Investing in Commercialization Partnerships (ICP) initiative supports business-led partnerships with a focus on developing globally-competitive products and services. Increased collaboration among businesses, post-secondary institutions and research organizations narrows the gap between innovation and commercialization. This initiative helps to increase the capacity of existing and emerging innovation ecosystems and the development of competitive economic clusters in southern Ontario.
Through ICP, the Federal Economic Development Agency (FedDev Ontario) is encouraging the technology transfer between research and business to help bring new ideas to market.
Who can apply?
ICP funding is available to post-secondary institutions and incorporated not-for-profit organizations, research institutions and industry associations located in southern Ontario, for business-led projects.
How is ICP delivered?
ICP is delivered by FedDev Ontario. The Agency was launched in 2009 to work with the region's communities, businesses and not-for-profit organizations to actively promote the region and build a strong foundation of partnerships and relationships to secure Canada's long-term prosperity. Today, FedDev Ontario continues to deliver programs aimed at strengthening the economy and positioning the region to compete globally by helping create and grow businesses, cultivating partnerships and building strong communities.
