Mineral Heritage Museum and educational facilityThe newly renovated Mineral Heritage Museum and educational facility opened on The new completely restored Bancroft Railway Station includes a regional tourism information centre and Chamber of Commerce. The community celebrated the opening of the expanded museum, which will focus on the mining heritage of the region and mineral collecting.

Bancroft is known internationally as the Mineral Capital of Canada, and the upgraded museum and educational facility showcases the vast number of minerals and their collecting sites found within a 150-kilometre radius of the town, as well as gems and mineral specimens from all over Canada.

The Bancroft and District Chamber of Commerce was approved for Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund support of up to $84,346 to rehabilitate the Bancroft Railway Station.
