Welcome to FedDev Ontario's application demo for the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.The purpose of this video is to briefly explain the process of applying for funding using the online application, which is available on our website.

Prior to completing the application, we strongly encourage you to read the Guidelines to ensure that you are eligible and that your project meets the program criteria.

To begin the application process, consult the Application Guide in the Quick Links menu, which will provide you with step-by-step instructions to assist you in completing your application and is numbered to correspond with the application questions.

Alright, let's get started…

To open the application, click on the 'Apply Now' button on the page or in the Quick Links menu. The PDF application will open automatically within Internet Explorer if you click on the link. Once opened, we recommend that you save your application to your computer by clicking the Save As button in the top right corner.

If you are using another browser, right-click on the 'Apply Now' link and select 'save target as' or 'save link as' to download the file to your computer before opening with a PDF reader. If you do not already have a PDF reader installed, click on the PDF Readers link in the Quick Links menu to install one.

Applicant Information & Organization

Under Applicant Information, enter your organization's information.

Under Organization, you need to select your applicant type from the list of eligible recipients.

Project Information

Under Project Information, you must enter the details of your project, including: project location, category, description, rationale and other details.

Please note that if you do not own the asset in which the infrastructure investment is being made, you must attach an Applicant Declaration and Landlord Authorization form to your application. The link to the form can be found in the Application Guide.

Environmental Considerations and Aboriginal Engagement

The next section consists of yes or no questions; however, if you respond yes to any questions, you must provide an explanation.

Project Costs and Proposed Funding

The Costs and Funding section is where you must list funding received for this asset through other government programs, money owed to the Government of Canada, eligible project costs to be incurred and proposed financing.

To determine what costs may be eligible, please see the Guidelines or the Application Guide for more information.

Attaching Supporting Documents

Attach all supporting documents to your Application Form by selecting the Add Attachments button at the top right corner.

If you are not-for-profit applicant, you must attach the following documentation to your application:

Don't forget to attach your Applicant Declaration and Landlord Authorization form if needed.

Submitting your Application

Once your application is complete, ensure you are connected to the Internet and then select the 'Submit' button on the last page to send your application and supporting documents to FedDev Ontario.

If you try to click 'Submit' with any incomplete mandatory fields, those sections will be outlined in red and you will not be able to submit your application until these sections are completed.

Once received, a confirmation message will be displayed on your screen.

Please save and print a copy of the application and the confirmation message for your records.

This concludes our demo for the CIP 150 application.

Applications are being accepted until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on June 24, 2016.
