Caldwell First Nation was approved for Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund support to renovate its community centre.
Completion of the project has created a cleaner and healthier environment to provide administrative and health services to the community and has improved the ceremonial hall, which is available to rent for recreational events.
A federal share of up to $72,880 was approved for the project with total eligible costs of $145,765. The project included the renovation of the community centre's kitchen, library, basement, health offices and ceremonial hall, all of which strongly support child, family and community development.
